A MOTORCYCLE riding granddad is gearing up for a mammoth 4,000-mile trip across the UK in aid of his grand daughter who has a rare brain condition.
Little three-year-old Aleisha O’Donnell has septo-optic dysplasia which is a development disorder and means part of her brain is missing. Kenny O’Donnell wants to help their fundraising campaign to build a soft-play room with sensory toys into her home in Elmham Road, Cantley, which will aid Aleisha’s development.
The 55-year-old keen motorcyclist has decided to take his Yamaha Drag Star on a sponsored 15-day trip along the UK coast to boost the appeal’s coffers.
Caring Kenny, also of Elmham Road, wants to also give proceeds from the trip to Heatherwood School in Leger Way which Aleisha attends.
He said: “The target is to raise around £5,000 to £10,000 so we’d love to hear from anyone who can help.”
He will be setting off from Cleethorpes for the round trip on June 4. He will travel through Scotland and the South West before returning.
