A construction firm has been appointed to lead the build on Doncaster’s new cinema and restaurant complex.

JPG, a Leeds based firm, will work alongside Muse Developments after they completed the first phase of the scheme in the Civic and Cultural Quarter.

This included the civic office, performance venue Cast, new housing and a refurbished 850 space multi-storey car park back in 2013.

The 984-seat cinema and four popular restaurant chains are set to create 100 jobs and the work is expected to start in the Spring of this year.

The latest development will be situated on the third side of Sir Nigel Gresley Square.

The firm have assisted in the construction and design of other notable projects such as Yorkshire Bank in Doncaster and the Omega factory extension in Thorne.
