A PROPERTY firm behind plans to develop a £5 million leisure complex including a football centre has scored impressive profits.
The development which will have ten all weather pitches, a family friendly pub, retail and business premises on the former Tyco factory in Wheatley Hall Road, has been given the green light, say regeneration specialists St Modwen.
And the Birmingham-based firm has netted strong results with 34 per cent increase in profit to £50.4 million from the previous year’s £37.5m before tax.
In conjunction with Cooper Lighting, St Modwen submitted the planning application to Doncaster Council last year.
Developers hope the scheme will regenerate the participation of sport and recreational activities in the area.
Stephen Prosser, Yorkshire and North East regional director for St Modwen, said it was encouraging the company was performing well against the return of the challenging economic conditions.
