Comic ace Freddie Starr coming to the Civic Theatre
Funny man Freddie Starr, one of Britain’s best-loved comedians, brings his own unique brand of madness and mayhem to Doncaster Civic Theatre on Wednesday 8 June at 7.30pm.
The outrageous performer – whose own distinctive approach to comedy has captivated audiences around the world for almost four decades – is visiting Doncaster as part of his latest tour.
Much more than a stand-up, Freddie is a ‘star’ in more ways than one as his many talents also include being a fantastic ballad singer, brilliant impressionist and accomplished actor.
A white-knuckle ride of visual comedy and manic moments, the comic’s act sees him one minute reduce audiences to tears of laughter with his stand-up material, the next entertain with his brilliant impressions, and then rush headlong to the edge of anarchy.
Gavin Baldwin, Assistant Director of Communities, said: “Freddie Starr is a household name and a familiar face on our TV screens.
“His latest show at the Civic is great news for all his Doncaster fans – I’m sure they can expect a highly entertaining night packed with plenty of laughs.”
