A 19-YEAR-OLD has gone for the chop in memory of her grandparents.

Melissa Carroll shaved her head to raise money for cancer charities after losing grandfather Alan Guest and grandmother Brenda Prince to lung cancer. The dance student lopped off her locks with the help of Josh Reynolds, 18, Keaton Reynolds, 23, and Craig Scholes, 20.

Miss Carroll of Chequer Road, Hyde Park, said: “My mum is pleased I am raising the money - I’ve not set a target, but want to raise as much as I can.”
