WE may have been having some warm weather lately, but plans are already well under way for Christmas in Rossington.
The 2012 Christmas Fair will take place on Friday, December 14 across the Rossington Marketplace and Methodist Church with activities taking place throughout the afternoon and into the evening.
A number of attractions have already been lined up, including a range of market stalls to buy festive foods and gifts, musical performances, a puppet show and the big Christmas light switch on on Kings Avenue.
There will be a selection of fun activities and games for visitors young and old, with a range of singing groups and musicians getting everyone in the mood for a visit from Santa himself who will officially be launching the festivities.
Father Christmas will be visiting pupils at schools around Rossington from 2.30pm handing out gifts and checking off his naughty and nice list before Christmas Day.
Anyone who would like to get involved in the organisation of the Christmas celebrations should contact Rossington Council by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01709 867922.
