Doncaster has unwrapped its very own version of Willy Wonka!
For John Taylor has started dishing out the sweets from his chocolate factory to the borough’s residents.
The 49-year-old, and wife Julie, 41, started making milk, dark and white chocolate products at their Sutton home almost a year ago.
Now they have opened their Classi Wraps shop in the International Food Hall in Doncaster Market to coincide with National Chocolate Week.
John, who used to run Taylors Nurseries in Sutton, said: “I wanted a career change after running the nursery for 30 years.
“The shop has been going well. We’ve got some unique ideas.”
And visitors may not need a ‘golden ticket’ - made famous in the classic children’s book - to see John’s creating his treats in the near future.
He hopes to buy another chocolate-making machine and allow shoppers to watch his products being made.
