New groups starting include ‘Bumps and Babies’ support group for pregnant mums and parents with babies under a year old. Dads are also welcome at the group that takes place every Wednesday from 1pm to 3pm.

‘ESOL’ (English for Speakers of Other Languages), a group to support adults develop understanding of English language, will also start up again soon on a date to be confirmed.

John Bailey, centre manager, said: “Our centre offers a really wide range of activities for children and support for their families putting it right at the centre of the community.

“We offer a warm welcome to everyone and help parents, carers and child minders to give children the best possible start in life.”
