Organised by the village’s All Saints Church the event went ahead despite the snowy weather.
Spokesman Karen Buckley said: “A total of 27 children aged five to 12 took part and helped to make a long paper chain which was joined into a circle to remind them of how much God loves us.
“They watched a DVD which showed an amazing answer to prayer when Peter was released from prison.”
The younger children made sweets and decorated buns as well as making ‘prayer holders’ to take home and to use during the week.
Key stage 2 children made ‘Prayer Pizzas’ which they took home to cook for tea or supper.
The next children’s club is on March 29 when the focus will be Easter.
