staff from a Doncaster school had a spring in their step after raising £300 with a sponsored charity trek.

The funds will go towards special T-shirts for Owston Park Primary School choir ahead of a concert to celebrate the opening of the new school hall in July.

And the choir is sure to be singing the staff members’ praises when it opens the new school hall to the parents wearing the swanky new shirts with the choir logo and children’s names on them. They will then perform songs by artists including Bruno Mars, Adele, Jessie J, Queen.

The three hour walk in the Peak District took the staff from Hollins Cross and then up Mam Tor, in a circular route.

And it seems the intrepid walkers now have a taste for trekking and aim to climb the three peaks in a day next year.
