students from Doncaster College are organising a fundraising evening to support the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Hospitality, Catering and Travel & Tourism students decided to raise money for the charity after fellow student Craig Swift now 17 years old, was diagnosed with cancer in the knee, which resulted in part of his leg being amputated.

Craig was studying VRQ Level 1 Diploma in Professional Cookery.

Teenage Cancer Trust provided valuable support and help to Craig and his family during his illness. Craig is still undergoing treatment but is making great progress.

The charity evening will take place at The Hub, on Thursday May 31 at 6.30pm, where the catering and hospitality students will show off their culinary skills.

The evening will includes a three course dinner, entertainment and charity raffles.

Tickets are £25 each and are available from Ian Allgood ian.allgood@don.ac.uk or 01302 553614 or 01302 553833.

Anyone wishing to donate prizes should also contact Ian.
