RESIDENTS are being given the chance to say what good causes they believe should receive a cash boost by visiting a building society.
Yorkshire Building Society launched its Charity Choices initiative at its branch in Printing Office Street, Doncaster town centre.
The branch has £1,000 to give away and staff have nominated three Doncaster charities which the public can now vote for and decide which should received the most money.
The charities are Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, Balby’s St John’s Hospice and Doncaster Macular Disease Society Support Group - which helps people with sight problems. The winner will receive £500, second £300 and third place will receive £200 from the society.
Members of the public can pop in branch to vote for their choice until Saturday.
