Police investigating an alleged armed robbery at a shop in Doncaster have released CCTV footage of a man they are tracing.

A man entered the store in King Edward Road, Balby, at 8.50pm on Tuesday, December 8, and made threats to staff.

He was reportedly carrying a weapon and demanded cash from a shop assistant before dropping his weapon to steal some alcohol. No one was injured during the incident.

A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said: “Officers are keen trace the man pictured in the CCTV image.

“The man is described as aged in his early 20s, of slim build and about 5ft 7ins tall. He is said to have been wearing a khaki coloured waist length coat with writing on the left shoulder with a light coloured hooded top underneath with the hood up.

“He was also wearing blue jeans, black shoes, gloves and a pair of large red headphones.

“Do you know who he could be? If you have any information, please call 101 quoting incident number 1205 of 8 December 2015.
