Arthur the cat, who was found with a head injury in 2016 and been given a second chance at life after being treated by RSPCA staff at the RSPCA South Yorkshire Animal Centre at Bawtry, Doncaster.

The cat, who has been called Arthur, was taken in to his local RSPCA Animal Centre in November with a mysterious head wound.

The RSPCA South Yorkshire Animal Centre at Bawtry has its own clinic for rescue pets, meaning that Arthur received immediate treatment.

The clinic vet carried out some tests and gave him some medication, which led to his head injury improving, but he was still struggling.

Once the wound had healed it was possible to do further tests and the vet discovered Arthur had a fractured skull. He had to be given more medication and was cared for by trained staff at the centre.

Arthur reacted well to treatment and has since made a full recovery. During his time at the centre, he has bonded with staff, who have taken to his loving and trusting nature. Arthur loves people and now he follows the staff around during the morning clean.

Without a full history and not knowing the cause of his extensive injuries, they will never know exactly what Arthur has been through, but they are now hoping someone will adopt him and give him a loving forever home.
