Pop star Louis Tomlinson was back at his family’s home in Doncaster for two days ahead of his homecoming South Yorkshire gig with One Direction at Sheffield Arena - and enjoyed a couple of days of pampering from mum Johannah.

Youngsters at Willow Primary School, in Bessacarr, watched in amazement as the 21-year-old arrived with a movie crew as he picked up younger sister Phoebe.

The camera crew is filming Louis’ home life for the forthcoming One Direction film, to be called This Is Us.

Mum Johannah was delighted to have her boy back with her in Hickleton, for what is only the seventh time since he joined the band for the X Factor television show.

She said: “He went with the film crew to Hall Cross and Hayfield School and he went with them to visit his great-grandmother Olive Rothery.

“She’s 90 and she’s not been to the cinema for years. She was a natural for the cameras and said she’d never been in a movie. She says she’ll go and see it when it comes out.

“When he picked up Phoebe she said it was embarrassing because she was in her school uniform.

“There were about 40 children following them - it looked like the Pied Piper!”

Louis’ family went to last night’s show in a party of around 60 family and friends, including his sisters, mum, grandparents and great grandmother Olive.

He was looking forward to playing what he saw as his home show last night.

Johannah said: “He always enjoys the Sheffield shows because he treats it as his homecoming.

“Zayn’s family were there too, because it’s close to their hometown of Bradford.

“Louis loved it last year at both the City Hall show and the arena show for the X Factor. He was really looking forward to it.”
