ROTHERHAM Police Cadets have won a ‘Certificate of Accreditation’ in the national Sheriff’s Awards.
A group of cadets were nominated for an award by their supervisor, Pc Jeannine Waller, for their work which has included arranging crime prevention talks with vulnerable people and supporting the Help for Heroes charity.
The Sheriff’s Awards are designed to recognise a person or organisation that has shown courage and initiative in protecting people, property or liberty.
The Rotherham youngsters became the first group of police cadets in the awards history to be given a Certificate of Accreditation.
Supervisor Pc Waller said: “This group of cadets have been especially dedicated in providing positive voluntary work in the community and have shown great motivation.”
The cadets are due to be presented with their awards at Rotherham Town Hall on Wednesday, December 7.
