RESIDENTS in the Isle of Axholme are being given the opportunity to have their say on how North Lincolnshire Council spends its budget.
The authority is working on its budget for the next four years and people can now suggest which services should be priorities for investment.
The council intends to spend only on core services and locally agreed priorities and is working with the Government to reduce the public sector deficit.
A spokesman for North Lincolnshire Council said: “Local people are being invited to have their say on areas that are priorities for investment and areas where the council can make savings.
“In this financial year we are on track to spend within our budget targets.
“However, the council works to ensure value for money in all service areas to minimise the impact on council tax levels.”
To get the views of local people the council has produced a questionnaire.
This can be completed online by visiting www.northlincs.gov.uk
Paper copies can be picked up from council offices, libraries and Local Links. The consultation is open until Friday December 14. Paper copies can be returned using a prepaid envelope.
