AN employment specialist has won a top title at the Yorkshire Lawyer Awards, beating a record number of entries.
Atteys’ solicitor Natalie Aitken was the only legal professional from South Yorkshire to win an award at the ceremony which saw firms and individuals from across the profession recognised for their achievements in the past year. This year’s awards received a record number of entries.
Natalie, who works with Atteys’ employment team in Doncaster, joined the practice as a paralegal in 2007 after completing her degree and a legal practice course. She advises commercial and private clients on all aspects of employment law, such as unfair dismissal, discrimination advice, redundancies, and parental rights. Natalie is also a past president of Doncaster Junior Chamber International and has run Atteys’ free legal advice clinic for the last few years.
Natalie said she was thrilled to have won and grateful to her employers for the nomintaion and to clients and colleagues for their support.
“The culture at Atteys is all about helping individuals to develop professionally and in their voluntary interests, which of course enhances the service and expertise available to clients. It is an honour to bring such a prestigious award to Doncaster,” she added.
