The latest traffic and travel updates in Doncaster for September 1, 4pm.

ROADS

North Bridge Road will be closed outbound from Doncaster due to bridge maintenance work on the inbound sections of St George’s Bridge until Friday September 4.

All outbound services to operate via Church Way and St George’s Bridge.

TRAINS

Delays of up to 30 minutes on First Transpennine Express between Preston Park and Barrow-in-Furness due to flooding at Carnforth.

BUSES

Kirton Lane will be closed at the level crossing for essential rail maintenance work on the following weekends:

Saturday 29th August (2300) until (0900) Sunday 30th August

Saturday 5th September (2300) until (0900) Sunday 6th September 2015

Service 87 from Doncaster will operate as normal to Crookes Broom Lane in Dunscroft then via Station Road, High Street (Hatfield), Epworth Road, Thorne Road and Hatfield Road before resuming normal route on South Parade. From Moorends will operate as normal to South Parade then via Hatfield Road, Thorne Road, Epworth Road, High Street (Hatfield) and Station Road before resuming normal route on Crookes Broom Lane.

Thomas Street will be closed for carriageway resurfacing work Tuesday 1st September until Friday 4th September & Monday 7th September until Friday 11th September 2015 (0800 – 1600).

Service 221 to operate directly along Church Street before resuming normal routes in both directions.

ROADWORKS

A630 South Yorkshire - A630 Centenary Way in Rotherham closed in both directions at College Road Roundabout, because of roadworks.

A630 South Yorkshire - A630 St Georges Bridge in Doncaster closed southbound between St Mary’s Roundabout and Markets Roundabout, because of resurfacing work. Diversion in operation - via North Bridge Road.

M1 Derbyshire - Narrow lanes and a speed restriction of 50 mph on M1 in both directions between J28, A38 (Alfreton) and J31, A57 (Worksop), because of roadworks. Expect delays.

A6102 South Yorkshire - A6102 Catch Bar Lane in Sheffield closed eastbound between the B6079 junction and the Parkside Road junction, because of resurfacing work.

B1220 South Yorkshire - Gas main work and temporary traffic lights on B1220 Skellow Road in Carcroft at the Queen’s Road junction.

A618 South Yorkshire - Temporary traffic lights and roadworks on A618 Moorgate Road in both directions in Rotherham between the Rencliffe Avenue junction and the Lawton Lane junction.

A6178 South Yorkshire - One lane closed on A6178 Attercliffe Road in Sheffield between the A6109 Fred Mulley Road junction and the B6080 Sutherland Street junction, because of telecoms work.

B1220 South Yorkshire - Gas main work and temporary traffic lights on B1220 Skellow Road in Carcroft at the Owston Road junction.

A6102 South Yorkshire - Roadworks during off-peak periods and temporary traffic lights on A6102 Manchester Road in both directions in Wharncliffe Side at the More Hall Lane junction.

M1 South Yorkshire - Narrow lanes and a speed restriction of 50 mph on M1 in both directions between J34, A631 (Meadowhall) and J35a, A616 (Stocksbridge), because of long-term roadworks.

A630 South Yorkshire - Narrow lanes on A630 Sheffield Parkway in both directions in Catcliffe between the B6533 Europa Link junction and Catcliffe, because of a contraflow and long-term roadworks.

A61 South Yorkshire - One lane closed on A61 Penistone Road North northbound in Sheffield between the B6079 Leppings Lane junction and Shalesmoor Roundabout, because of resurfacing work.
