A Doncaster-based boutique shop has beaten fashion retailers from across the UK to land a prestigious national award.

Robinsons of Bawtry was named ‘Premium Fashion Independent of the Year 2015’ at the annual Drapers awards ceremony held at The Brewery in London.

Judges awarded Robinsons the accolade for its ‘very elegant set-up and proposition plus its integral part of the local community’.

Company owner Russell Jones said: “We are thrilled to have won this award which appreciates the hard work we have put into the boutique since we took over the reins six years.

“We are proud to be one of the region’s top ranked Mulberry and Michael Kors stockists as well as being one of only four independents in the UK to offer the full Armani Collezioni Made to Measure personalised suit service - this has undoubtedly added to our desire to be a premium retailer and our hard work has clearly paid dividends.”

Robinsons of Bawtry has been established for nearly 30 years, and has been under the ownership of the Jones family since 2009.

It is also renowned for its annual charity fashion show which has raised nearly £300,000 for Yorkshire Cancer Research since its inception.

This year’s event is set to take place on Sunday, October 4, at the China Rose restaurant in Bawtry.

Russell said: “We have a fabulous team who look after our customers and ensure they return time after time.”
