A SUPPLIER has appointed two new recruits after opening another branch.
Quay Plastics, which provides building products, now has a base in Doncaster and hopes growing sales will lead to more jobs.
Scott Butler, depot supervisor at the new outlet, said the development was encouraging news for the area.
“Like so many ‘industrial’ towns Doncaster businesses, especially one-man bands, have had a challenging time of late, so we hope that the new branch opening will be a boost to local businesses which will no longer have to travel out of town to source the materials they need,” he commented.
The new branch, at the Wheatley Trade and Business Centre, will also offer training courses to help local installers boost their profitability by improving their existing skills as well as learning new trades.
“We have an open day planned for the summer and we really hope that the branch is a success so we can employ more people from the Doncaster area,” added Scott.
