STUDENTS will be able to learn anytime, anywhere after the launch of 70 homework apps for iPhones and iPads.
Award-winning company I am Learning is expecting a four-fold increase in turnover over the next four years helped by the rising popularity of mobile technology and apps among students.
The Doncaster-based educational games firm held a pilot for the new software and says students are demanding more from technology and education.
The company’s co-director Mike Wilson commented: “We need to enable students to do their homework whenever and wherever they want.
“These apps will allow them to continue their learning when they have ten minutes free on the school bus.”
Mike set up I am learning with fellow director Steve Holt in 2007. Now used by more than 1,000 schools and half a million pupils across the country, it will post record sales of £650,000 for the year to September – up from £415,000 last year.
