Yorkshire passengers will soon be jetting off to the beautiful Latvian capital of Riga thanks to a new Wizz Air route from Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield.

The twice weekly flights on Mondays and Fridays from the airport to the increasingly popular city will start on June 20. Flights are on sale now.

Riga is known for its beautiful historical city centre and also holds the esteemed status of being a Unesco World Heritage Site. The city was named the European Capital of Culture 2014 and is the perfect destination for anyone looking for a diverse and inspiring weekend getaway.

Steve Gill, managing director of Doncaster Sheffield Airport said: “We are delighted to be able to offer Yorkshire residents flights to Riga with Wizz Air.
