Doncaster online education specialists I am Learning is in the running for a prestigious industry award.

The Balby-based business, which specialises in online games-based learning and assessment for primary and secondary schools, has been shortlisted in the Bett Awards _ the world’s leading showcase for educational technology .

I am Learning has been given the nod in the Secondary Digital Content category.

Joint founder and director Michael Wilkinson said: “We have been in the industry for six years now, and we are building our story here in the UK and moving into a global position.

“To be shortlisted demonstrates we are seen as a very credible provider and is great recognition for all the hard work our team has put in over the years.

“From the outset, we have genuinely wanted to make a difference and help youngsters enjoy their education.

“Now from an assessment point of view, we want use our content, tools and services to really support better feedback for learning.

“I am Learning helps to make assessment a supportive part of the learning process and has a proven an impact on results.”

The winners of the Bett Awards will be announced at a ceremony hosted by Jo Brand in London on January 22.
