A SOLICITOR will be fighting the cause of injured people far and wide after securing a new role.
John McQuater, a personal injury lawyer of the year award winner, has now been elected to the executive committee of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) which campaigns for individuals nationwide.
John, who is a partner and head of litigation at Atherton Godfrey in the town centre, commented: “I have been entrusted with tackling some very real challenges for injured people.
“Reforms currently moving through Parliament which restrict no-win-no-fee as a method of funding cases mean that some of the most vulnerable people will struggle to gain access to justice. APIL is here to fight their corner and I’m proud to be a part of that.”
