Jobs at a family business that started in the 1980s have been saved after the firm entered administration at the beginning of May.

Bawtry-based retailer Hobson and Bates Shoes Ltd, which operates from Bawtry Shoe Company on High Street, entered administration earlier on May 8 after suffering financial losses due to the economic crash.

Licensed insolvency practitioner’s, Simon Plant and Daniel Plant, said in a joint statement: “Following the company restructure, a buyer of the business and assets was found and the majority of the jobs have been saved.”
