Young Isle women are invited to an event entitled ‘Us Girls Rocks’ which takes place next weekend.
The aim of the day is to encourage women aged between 16 and 25-years-old to look after their health and well being.
The project ‘Us Girls’ is working with the national charity Street Games to provide this event full of health, beauty and fitness.
North Lincolnshire Council has been working with both North Lindsey College and John Leggott College to promote it.
The college will be offering a number of health and beauty treatments, as well as demonstrating different treatments during the four hour session.
There will be plenty to get involved in including:
Discounted beauty treatments
Demonstrations in skin and hair care
Make your own smoothie on the cycle smoothie maker
Free taster sessions for Street Dance, hoola hooping, boxercise and pilates
Lots of free gifts will also be given out throughout the event.
NLC’s Councillor Carl Sherwood, cabinet member for Customer Services, Sport and Leisure, said: “This event has been planned to encourage young women to look after themselves and keep fit and healthy. It is the first ‘Us Girls Rock’ event being held in North Lincolnshire and I’m sure it is going to be a great day. There will be lots for young women to get involved in, so go along to The Baths Hall and try out a range of beauty treatments or make your own delicious smoothie.”
The event is on Saturday, September 14, 2-6pm at Scunthorpe Baths Hall.
