FREE help to improve heating and insulation for Doncaster homeowners is available thanks to fuel poverty charity National Energy Action.
Approximately 21 per cent of households in the town are estimated to be living in fuel poverty, unable to heat their homes to the level needed for comfort and well being.
A total of £100 million is available in 2012-13 for households through the Government’s Warm Front scheme, which is open to applications from owner-occupiers and private sector tenants in receipt of certain income-related benefits. It provides grants of up to £3,500 to fund improvement measures. For information call the Home Heat Helpline on 0800 33 66 99 or visit www.homeheathelpline.org.uk.
