A Doncaster bus service is set to help shoppers save money this Christmas.

Customers on Stagecoach Yorkshire’s 70 Park and Ride, serving White Rose Way to Doncaster, can benefit from a £1 day ticket per person, and journey times of 15 minutes into the town centre.

Paul Lynch, managing director of Stagecoach Yorkshire, said: “We know Christmas can be an expensive time for many families so this is our way of giving something back to the community with an offer designed to help people save money during the festive season.

“The Park and Ride service was introduced to increase local travel options and it has been very popular since launching at the start of the year.

“The £1 day ticket provides our customers with a value for money, fast and convenient alternative to taking their car into the town centre, where parking can be costly and limited.”

Passengers can avoid the stress and cost of town centre parking on the service, which operates every 15 minutes from Monday to Saturday.

Stagecoach Yorkshire launched the route in January 2013 to serve Frenchgate Shopping Centre from White Rose Way Park and Ride site.

They run every 15 minutes from 6.50am to 7pm.
