Spring may have only just sprung, however Doncaster’s Frenchgate Shopping Centre is already gearing up for Christmas!
The centre is encouraging customers to avoid the last minute strapped-for-cash Christmas dash by thinking ahead and saving for the festive period.
It has launched a new savings club card so people can put bits of money aside over the next seven months to spend on Christmas treats and goodies.
By putting just £10 a week on the card, customers would have nearly £340 saved by the time Father Christmas makes an appearance in December.
The money can be spent in any one of the centre’s stores including Debenhams, Clas Ohlson, Next, New Look, Sainsbury’s, Boots, Beaverbrooks, Schuh and Build-a-Bear. Or it can be converted into a Frenchgate Centre gift card as a present for a friend or loved one.
Centre manager Laurie Barton Wright said: “We want to make Christmas extra special for our customers by helping them to save for the perfect gifts and treats.
“We know the run up to the festive period can put pressure on people’s bank balances, which is why we are delighted to launch our savings club card so people have plenty of time to put money aside.
Savings club cards can be picked up from the customer service desk on the first floor next to BHS. They can be topped up as frequently as each customer wants, with a minimum amount of £5 each time and a maximum of £1,000 overall.”
She added: “Like every good present - The Frenchgate savings club card is not just for Christmas! Indeed the card is great for saving up for large events such as weddings , birthdays and holidays as well as the festive period.”
