A Doncaster car dealership has driven off with a prestigious award - for the sixth time in eight years.
CEJ 3000 Car Sales Ltd scooped the ‘Retailer of the Year’ gong at the South Yorkshire Trading Standards Motor Trade Partnership Annual Seminar.
This was the sixth time the family run firm has scooped the award since 2008, and the dealership was named runner-up in the two years it did not win.
Business owner Colin Edward Jones, 60, of Auckley, said: “We are delighted. It is an honour.”
Pipers Car Sales in Tickhill was runner-up in the category at this year’s ceremony, which marked its 12th year.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Trading Standards said: “Retail businesses find themselves in ever increasingly difficult trading times nationally, however, scheme members have yet again proved that the provision of excellent, open and honest customer service throughout the buying process and beyond is something that they are committed do.
“The scheme has received national recognition for its ‘fair trading’ charter due to the commitment that its members show in providing the best possible retail experience they can.
“This year’s seminar provided an opportunity for lively discussion between scheme members, trading standards representatives and guest speakers.”
Councillor Paul Wray, Doncaster’s civic mayor, hosted the awards and congratulated the winners.
