Business leaders from across the Dearne will descend on Doncaster today for an important trade summit.
The first ever Doncaster Business Conference at Doncaster Rovers’ Keepmoat Stadium will see company bosses, local politicians and other business representatives gather to discuss what the future holds for the town.
Dan Fell, chief executive officer of organisers Doncaster Chamber, said: “The number and pace of transformational projects in Doncaster in recent times, such as Doncaster Sheffield Airport, Doncaster Racecourse, the iPort, and the FARRRS link road, to name a few, has helped drive the town’s economic regeneration forward.
“It is crucial that this pace of development continues for Doncaster to realise its full potential. The Doncaster Business Conference is the perfect opportunity for businesses to look at ‘what’s next’ for Doncaster and put forward their views as to where the next major projects and developments might come from.”
The conference will be facilitated by Dr Adam Marshall, executive director of policy and external affairs at the British Chambers of Commerce.
Panellists and speakers at the event include Doncaster mayor Ros Jones, MP’s Caroline Flint and Rosie Winterton, Juliette Healey, agent for Yorkshire and the Humber at the Bank of England, Ben Still, executive director of the Sheffield City Region Local Enterprise Partnership.
The event takes place between 8am and 12.30pm. For tickets contact the chamber on 01302 640100.
