Osborne Technologies has created unique immersive and interactive sensory products for people with special needs.

The flagship product is SensoryPod, an aluminium structure which can be used indoors and outdoors and is designed to create a controllable space.

Inside, a range of sensory equipment is controlled using an Ipad, touch screens and gesture controls and screens are enhanced with lighting, surround sound and scent.

The pod offers vulnerable people a haven which can help them to better adapt to busy environments such as school and public places.

The success of SensoryPod led to the development of SensoryClass, allowing teachers to deliver interactive lessons. To date, the company has installed six SensoryPods and 19 SensoryClass rooms. Due to these new developments Osborne has more than doubled its annual turnover.

And it is now Down Under - an Australian branch has opened in Brisbane.

Osborne Technologies Australia was launched at the Edu Tech National Congress and Expo. Its success was rewarded with a third place on the Ward Hadaway list of Yorkshire’s fastest growing small businesses. The company also won the Sheffield Hallam University Design and Innovation in Business category at the Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce Awards.
