STAFF at a building firm have handed over a cheque for £2,525 to improve the family room at Doncaster Royal Infirmary’s gynaecology department.

Togel Contracts holds an annual Golf Day and this year wanted to donate to a cancer-related cause, as staff felt that the disease touches most people in some way.

Robert Leggott and Keith Slack, from Togel, presented the cheque and said: “We feel very fortunate to have found such a good local cause to donate to.

“Refurbishing the family room will provide a much more pleasant environment for both the patients and families affected by cancer.”

The money was raised with golfing events such as a hole-in-one competition, with clients and the company all digging deep into their pockets. The cash also included a donation from Barclays Corporate.

The firms’ donation will help upgrade the bathroom, provide a kitchen, redecorate, and provide better seating.
