Mark Spincer, Doncaster Racecourse managing director, tweeted his 1,500 followers this morning to say: “Racing today is abandoned after 3 inch snow and still snowing. we will re run the card next Saturday tickets transferred.”
Hundreds of sandwiches for the event have also been donated to Doncaster’s homeless chairty M25.
Preparations are already underway to hold the Lincoln meet next Saturday, March 30.
