FIREFIGHTERS have been called to Bentley this afternoon after a large amount of tyres and cars went up in flames.
Crews from stations across Doncaster were at the car repair unit and were battling to stop the blaze spreading to a nearby building, the fire service said.
The alarm was raised just after 3.15pm.
A spokesman for South Yorkshire Fire Service said five appliances were at the scene nearly the railway line off Ings Road,
Police and ambulances are also present, eyewitnesses said.
Centurion, which supplies tools and hardware has been evacuated,
Residents were urged to keep windows and doors closed with fears that an asbestos roof could catch light, eyewitnesses have said.
The fire service said its presence at the incident had been scaled down but crews remained at the scene, A spokesman added nobody had been injured.
