BREAKING NEWS: Family’s tribute to Crowle road crash victim.

Police Accident

Police Accident

THE family of an elderly man who died following a collision in Crowle has this morning paid tribute to him.

John Wilson Winter, 94, of Crowle, died at Scunthorpe General Hospital on November 8 following a road traffic collision two days previously between a red Seat Ibiza car and his electrically-assisted pedal cycle in High Street.

Mr Winter, also known as Jack, grew up in Crowle and was a familiar face around the village. He was married to Sadie for 64 years.

His widow described him to be a loving husband and uncle, and despite his age, an active ‘gentleman’.

Mrs Winter is being supported by her family and friends.

The family asks that any witnesses to the collision should get in touch with Humberside Police on 101 quoting log 367 of November 6.

Funeral details will be published at a later date.
