A former Britain’s Got Talent star has woken up from a coma after a horror car crash

Danny Ball, one half of martial arts duo Strike, is now breathing on his own and has spoken for the first time after being airlifted to hospital with life threatening injuries.

Well wishes have been flooding in for Danny, 28, who is in a critical but stable condition after his car collided with a lorry.

The incident happened on Friday, at 2.05pm, when the white Vauxhall Corsa, thought to have been driven by Danny, was travelling along the A18 Tudworth Road from Hatfield towards the M180.

It collided with a white Mercedes lorry travelling in the opposite direction. Danny, aged 28, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Danny’s 22-year-old brother, Jamie Faulding who was a passenger in the car was also taken to hospital but his injuries are not thought to be serious.
