A CARING fundraiser is saddling up to take on an epic cycle ride from one European city to another in just 24 hours.
Brad Taylor wants to raise at least £1,000 as he attempts to complete the mammoth 280-mile London to Paris biking trip in the summer.
The 25-year-old, who works as a general office assistant at Carcroft’s lubricant manudfacturers Trachem, has decided to raise money in aid of disability charity Scope.
The keen cyclist, from Owston Road in Carcroft, said: “I wanted to challenge myself in some way and when I heard about this trip, I couldn’t wait to see if I could have a go and raise money for a really good charity.
“I’ll be starting in London then going to Dover before heading across to Calais and Paris.
“I’m really excited, I think it will be a tough challenge but one I’m really looking forward to.
“I’ve been told by my boss that if I raise £600 he will match it which will be fantastic for Scope.”
Brad will be setting off on July 8.
