If you’re holding a coffee morning or thinking about holding one, why not come along to Macmillan’s own Coffee Morning and find out more about Macmillan, collect some extra merchandise and get some hints and tips from fellow hosts?
The event is taking place at the Keepmoat Stadium, Doncaster on Friday 9 September from 10:30am to 12:30pm.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is 21 this year and Macmillan is hoping to raise over £8 million from the event nationally which takes place on Friday 30 September. Fundraising manager for Doncaster, Amy Hebdon said, “Whether you’re holding your first Coffee morning or take part each year come along with your friends and colleagues and meet other hosts, exchange ideas, get resources and inspiration so you can make your coffee morning the biggest ever.”
Amy continues, “At the event you can also pick up brand new materials Macmillan have got to offer this year – which will help you to raise even more money for people living with cancer!”
One in three people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in our lives. Macmillan Cancer Support is there for everyone who needs us, from point of diagnosis and at any time during their cancer journey, when they need and want our support. We provide medical, financial, emotional and practical help.
In 2011 Macmillan is trying to raise over £600,000 in South Yorkshire to help fund services across the county including The Earl of Scarborough Suite at Rotherham General and St John’s Information and Support Centre in Doncaster.
