Award for green children

Travis St Lawrence C of E Primary School in Hatfield has been awarded a gold award by the Woodland Trust for getting involved in green activities including tree planting, reducing carbon emissions and recycling.

The school has planted new trees in its grounds and the children have grown trees from seeds. They have also recycled pencil shavings, created their own woodland trail, reduced their carbon emissions, and joined in with various other Woodland Trust activities.
