A skip, a bin in a park, bushes and rubbish were set alight in arson attacks in South Yorkshire last night.

Firefighters in Sheffield dealt with a skip torched in Spinkhill Avenue, Richmond and bushes set on fire in Southey Hall Road, Southey Green.

Crews from Doncaster were alerted to rubbish burning in the rear garden of a derelict building in Exeter Road, Wheatley and to a fire in another derelict property in Bennetthorpe, Hyde Park.

A bin was also set on fire in a park in Scrooby Street, Greasbrough, Rotherham.
