WOMEN braved the cold to hold an outdoor fashion show to celebrate the much-needed clean-up of a thriving shopping area.

Staff from shops in Bowers Fold teamed up with Doncaster Council to clean up the area which has been subjected to anti-social behaviour.

Council workers were sent to cleanse the shopping area and paint it.

To celebrate the clean-up mission and to show customers what the shopping area has to offer, a Venetian-themed fashion show was staged outside.

Staff, volunteers and supporters of the shops donned bridal gowns and Christmas-inspired evening wear from Bowers Fold charity store Age UK.

Town crier Henry Cryer was in full voice to compere the event which also had a tombola, cake stall and other activities for families.
