GOT a six-pack and not afraid to flaunt it? A new dance and strip show seeks Dearne men who can strut their stuff!
‘Definition’ will launch themselves on the unsuspecting public at the Dearne Playhouse with a Ladies’ Night on October 20.....and a full UK tour in their sights.
The all-male glamour show is ther brainchild of Paul Atwal-Brice of Thurnscoe, who believes he has spotted a niche in the market.
Paul, a founder member of Thurnscoe group Little Hopefuls, and business partner Tracy Scrivens of Penistone, have employed a top choreographer and musician, and promise “amazing” costumes from a leading designer, to ensure a fun-packed show using pyrotechnics and laser lighting.
Afterwards, audience members can have pictures taken with the dancers and there will be calendars for sale. But it doesn’t stop there....the company will offer naked butlers for celebrations such as birthdays and hen parties.
“I don’t believe there’s anything like this outside the cities,” said Paul. “We want lads from the Dearne and I know there are some hunky guys out in these old mining communities. I urge them to come to an audition. We also provide accommodation.”
The first two dancers of the troupe are a Canadian and a Mancunian. But because Paul is a Dearnesman himself he wants the act to feature men from the valley.
The next auditions will be on September 30 at the Park Inn, Manvers.
Paul, 34, said: “This is something I’ve always wanted to do. There’s the dance element and the fun side - we aim to put the tease back in to strip-tease!” Applicants must be prepared for rehearsals in October. For more details, telephone 07515 703409.
