ADULT education classes in the Isle are welcoming people to enrol for events in the new year.

North Lincolnshire Council has more than 100 courses lined up for 2012 with people able to choose anything from cake icing to creating spreadsheets and everything in between.

NLC’s cabinet member for corporate and community services, Councillor Carl Sherwood said: “Whether it’s for fun, to learn something new, study for a qualification or improve existing skills, there are many advantages to enrolling on a course.”

Classes are running at various venues across the county, including Crowle and Epworth, and enrolment is open now.

Courses include: art and craft - paint your family tree, watercolour painting, oil and acrylic painting, stitch your family tree, knitting, crochet, patchwork, fashion for all occasions, sugar craft, pottery; computers - switch on and get going with computers, internet and email, web design, fun with photos, fun with Photoshop, ECDL and new CLAIT; and family history - family history for beginners, advanced and also digital family history.

The spokesman added: “Adult community learning provides daytime and evening courses to anyone aged 16 and above across North Lincolnshire.

“The council has classes to suit all interests and abilities in its programme for the New Year.”
