A CHARITY event brought a warm glow to Rossington at the weekend.
The Rossington Parish Council Vintage Festival of Light Illuminations in Miniature took place for the third time but at the new venue of Rossington Miners’ Welfare grounds.
There were a whole host of activities as well as stalls, children’s rides, vintage vehicles and stationary engines displays for visitors to enjoy.
One of the favourites with the youngsters was a Noddy car which gave rides round the field.
Organiser George Sheldon, chairman of the project committee for the parish council, explained that everyone who exhibited and camped was asked to decorate their stalls, vehicles, tents, caravans with lights to provide a spectacle when all the lights were turned on.
“The weather was fine and we had a steady flow of people and they all seemed to enjoy it,” he said.
“The light display was really impressive and there was a good selection.”
All money raised from the event will go to a local charity, which is yet to be confirmed.
