Book lovers and library staff were seeing green at a special coffee morning for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Hatfield Library held the event in which dedicated borrower Michael Litchfield of Grange Avenue, Hatfield, dyed his hair green. The 30-year-old then had it shaved completely off for a sponsored head shave.

There were also gift and plant stalls, refreshments, a book sale and the chance to meet guide dog puppies.

The library raised more than £450 for the charity.
