PAWS for thought and get dialling to help a local charity secure vital cash.
Goole Waterways Museum is set to battle it out against a Leeds-based project to win £50,000 in a TV competition which begins on Monday.
And helping to keep the campaign in the public eye is 'mad mascot' Tilly the terrier.
Tilly, who is 14 weeks old
, visits the Dutch Riverside facility every day and has been chosen as the face of their charity bid.
Her owner, and operations manager at the museum, Clare Hunt, said: "She really is a character and everyone who comes into the museum has taken a shine to her. She's been running round my office causing chaos."
The Waterways Museum is hoping to secure the cash to transform a barge, which was donated by Waddingtons of Swinton, into a floating activities area and classroom.
The facility has been selected as a finalist in Calendar's People's Millions contest with its Float Your Boat project.
This is the second time in a row it has been chosen, last year the charity won with the community allotment scheme.
There are also another six schemes competing for prize money.
The competition will be broadcast at 6pm on Monday, November 24. The winner will be announced on Friday November 28 after four consecutive nights showcasing two projects at a time. Viewers will be asked to vote for the most deserving cause.
If successful, the museum hopes to start work converting the barge in January.
