A ROAD closure which was put in place in Goole last week is expected to last until next month.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has had to temporarily shut the access road linking Alexandra Street and Edinburgh Street to allow work on the second phase of its 'Changing Streets' scheme to progress.

It is anticipated that the road closure is likely to remain in place for a further three weeks. However, access to both streets from the main junctions will be maintained at all times.

An ERYC spokesman said: "The closure will make it possible for the gable end of a property on Edinburgh Street to be re-rendered, improving its appearance and energy efficiency."
