91-year-old woman dies two days after serious collision - appeal

A 91-year-old woman who was involved in a collision in Doncaster on Friday has died, police have announced this evening.

The pedestrian, named as Hilda Dell, collided with a Ford Ka in Stainforth, Doncaster, on Friday.

The woman suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and has died at hospital.

Another pedestrian, a 61-year-old Doncaster man, was also involved and suffered minor injuries.

The collision happened at around 11.50am in Water Lane, near to the junction with Field Road. The car was travelling north from Princess Avenue to Water Lane.

South Yorkshire Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 101 quoting incident 398 of October 16.
